Abstract:

The skin lesion is one of the common complications in patients with uremia, and their pathogenesis has not been fully elucidated. Recent studies have shown that there is a close relationship between the gut and skin lesions in that they both interact and influence each other, forming the "gut-skin axis" . This article reviewed the research progress on the relationship between the "gut-skin axis" and uremic skin lesions so as to explore the potential therapeutic methods.

Key words: Gut-skin axis, Uremia, Skin lesions, Gut microbiota
