Abstract:

Preoperative renal ultrasound imaging can assist in determining if the lesion is benign, which is beneficial for clinical doctors to make reasonable decisions as soon as possible and provide timely treatment for the patients. Multimodal ultrasound imaging techniques include conventional ultrasound (CUS), Doppler ultrasound, elastography imaging (EI), contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS), super microvascular imaging (SMI), ultrasound-guided attenuation parameter (UGAP), and ultrasound molecular imaging (USMI), etc. These multimodal ultrasound imaging techniques can provide additional evidence for the diagnosis and treatment of renal tumors through evaluating the morphology, blood perfusion, and internal structure of the tumors. This article reviewed the latest progress in the clinical application of multimodal ultrasound imaging techniques in renal tumors.
