Abstract:

Chronic kidney disease (CKD) has become one of the most important public health concerns of the world. A variety of CKD eventually progress to end-stage renal disease (ESRD), seriously affecting the survival and quality of the patients. CKD progression is largely attributed to secondary factors, in which, hypertension, hyperuricemia, obesity, and hyperlipidemia, etc, are related to poor lifestyle directly or indirectly resulting in kidney injury. Early understanding and improving the poor lifestyle can avoid or delay the progression of kidney injury and improve the quality of life. This article focused on the lifestyle beneficial to patients with CKD, which is based on reasonable diet, appropriate exercise, smoking cessation, alcohol limiting, and psychological balance.
