Abstract:

End-stage renal disease is the end-stage of chronic kidney disease and requires blood purification or kidney transplantation to maintain the life of the patient. As a method of blood purification, peritoneal dialysis (PD) has the advantages of simple operation, home dialysis, and protection of residual renal function, etc. Nevertheless, the mortality rate of peritoneal dialysis patients is still high, and the occurrence of cardiovascular events is the main cause of death in PD patients. This article mainly reviewed the correlation between red blood cell distribution width (RDW), serum total bilirubin (TBIL), serum uric acid, aspartate aminotransferase/alanine aminotransferase ratio (AST/ALT), soluble suppression of tumorigenicity 2(sST2), and cardiovascular events in peritoneal dialysis, in order to provide more references for clinical work.

Key words: Peritoneal dialysis, Cardiovascular events, Influencing factors, Correlation
