Abstract:

There is a certain association between tumors and kidney injury. Tumors-associated kidney injury has a relatively high incidence in tumors patients with complex etiology and pathogenesis, and diverse pathological types and clinical manifestations, which should be paid sufficient attention to in clinical work for the purpose of early diagnosis, active treatment, and improvement of the survival rate of patients. The traditional treatment regimen for tumors-associated kidney injury is comprised of surgical resection of tumors as early as possible in combination with radiotherapy and chemotherapy, but potential adverse reactions may also take place. Treatment with integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine is a better strategy to cope with tumors-associated kidney injury, as the two can complement each other′s advantages to play active roles. The present paper is a summary on progress of etiology and pathology, pathogenesis, diagnosis, and treatment with integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine for tumors-associated kidney injury in order to provide new ideas for the treatment of tumors-associated kidney injury.
