Abstract:

Nephrology is a discipline that involves multiple disciplines and is relatively complex, making the continuing medical education (CME) difficult. In the cultivation of clinical practical ability and comprehensive quality of young nephrologists, the existing continuing education mode is relatively lagging behind. This article first proposed and implemented a new type of multi-center joint case report teaching method, which used online video conferencing with multiple hospitals to jointly conduct case reports, discussions, and comments from experts. Compared to the traditional teaching ward-round and case reporting of a single center, this new teaching mode could promote the reporters to participate more actively in the process of medical history collection, preliminary diagnosis and differential diagnosis, treatment plan formulation, and latest research literature retrieval, and to grasp and expand knowledge and skills more firmly through discussion and argument, thereby improving their levels of clinical diagnosis and treatment.
