Application of peritoneal dialysis in the treatment of acute kidney injury

Abstract:

Acute kidney injury (AKI) is clinically a common acute critical illness. Renal replacement therapy is an essential measure for saving lives of patients with AKI. As peritoneal dialysis has advantages of being simple, needless of special equipment or anticoagulants, with little influence on the blood flow dynamics, it has been recommended as an ideal option for treatment of AKI by the ISPD guideline.
